TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

PEER FACILITATOR TRAINING

The focus of our efforts - Making a difference.

A Peer Facilitator helps others work through their problems by offering emotional support as well as guidance regarding different situations. Facilitators can use their life experiences to help relate to others facing similar circumstances. As they help others, peer facilitators also frequently see an increase in their own self-confidence and ability to handle conflict. Empowering Indigenous Women for Stronger Communities offers comprehensive training to give you the confidence you need to become a Peer Facilitator. With over 30 Indigenous women and Elders across the province trained in this capacity, we have been delivering culturally based community workshops since 2019.
