EMMA MOSS - YOUTH REPRESENTATIVE

I am Emma Moss, I am 21 years old, and I am part of the Qalipu First Nations in Newfoundland and Labrador. I am pursuing my last year of my undergraduate degree that is Arts and Science in Health.
I have always known I was of Indigenous decent however it was not widely discussed in my family about what that really meant. Since my university career has started, I have inched into my own investigation regarding my ancestry. I have come a long way with the knowledge I have especially after working with an Indigenous Organization this summer. In my final year of school, I even plan to take a Mi’kmaq issues course as well as a language class.
Other than school and work I love the summer months in which I go hiking camping and fishing with my friends and family, and the winter in which I love to snowboard
